Light in my darkness

I believe that God is in me
as the sun is in the color and fragrance of a flower.
The light in my darkness,
the voice in my silence.

May these words be inspiration. There are times in life when color and fragrance are hard to find. The sun may be dimmed by sadness or fear.

Notice the moments when light breaks through, brief as they may seem. Offer gratitude. A simple practice? Maybe. Yet while noticing  light’s gentle warmth we begin to realize that the space for light has grown.

Small steps are movement. Gratitude can change ones’ way of living.
