Moon on the Mountain's edge
The moon in her poetry is rarely just the moon. She sees only enough to keep moving. Often, wisdom lies not in seeing the destination but in taking the next step. Darkness can be part of the journey (Karl Duffy - Mindfulbalance)
From darkness
into a darker path
I must make my way;
Faintly shine from afar,
moon on the mountain’s edge.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem.
As a person who is totally blind, these words speak to me in a special way. Life does not always show us the entire path ahead, and sometimes we have to keep moving forward even when we cannot see where the journey is leading.
I especially like the idea that darkness is part of the journey and not necessarily something to fear. Some of life’s greatest lessons, growth, and wisdom can come through the challenges we face.
To me, this poem is a reminder to trust the journey, continue moving forward, and believe that even during difficult times there is still purpose, hope, and light ahead.
Thank you again for sharing these inspiring words.

Reading this poem made me think about my own experience with darkness.
As a person who is totally blind, many people assume that darkness is something negative or frightening. For me, darkness has become a part of my everyday life and my journey.
When I lost my remaining vision, I had to learn how to navigate a world that had changed completely. There were times of uncertainty, frustration, sadness, and fear. I did not always know what the future would look like or how I would adapt.
Over time, however, I learned that darkness does not always mean the absence of hope. Sometimes darkness becomes a place where we learn resilience, patience, faith, and trust in ourselves.
Even though I cannot see with my eyes, I continue to learn, grow, read books, advocate for others, build friendships, and find joy in everyday experiences.
That is one reason this poem resonates with me. It reminds me that the journey is not always about seeing the entire path ahead. Sometimes it is about continuing forward, learning along the way, and trusting that growth can happen even in the darkest moments.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful words.
