A bird is safe in its nest — but that is not what its wings are made for.
We fly with wings that make us unique – each of us.
Out of our safety zone, we stretch to seek solidarity, speak out for equality, and compassionately gather the lost and deserted.
These wings carry us further than ever imagined and so we must learn to fly, living each moment by faith.
It would be so easy to stay nestled in the safety of all that is familiar. Yet within the warmth and comfort of that nest we grow to understand its importance.
We must fly to ensure the same safety for all.
