About Carrie’s Bench ~

Disabled from birth, I have moved around this world in an electric wheelchair. I have ‘sat’ and taken action to see doors open for people with disabilities, creating access to independence at work and throughout the community. I have ‘sat’ as a chaplain and listened to people celebrating achievements and grieving loss. The word ‘sit’ has many definitions, some passive and some active. Definitions worth exploring!

This bench will be a place where stories are shared. My stories and hopefully yours!

Between the stories, I invite you to visit often. Reflect on a quote, discover a new book, or listen to a podcast shared because I was too intrigued to keep it to myself!

Welcome to my bench…
